Coaching is not counselling or any form of therapy, as it does not focus on the past it focuses on where you are now, your vision and how you get there. Coaching is action based.
Coaching focuses on what the client desires.

Clients come to coaching because they want to change aspects of their life like they want a better quality of life like more peace of mind, happiness and more satisfaction. They want to achieve an important goal; their goal can be either personal or professional.
